Defer hike in rates, mayor urged

Some house owners in Ipoh have extended their terrace houses up untill the front gate.

THE public must be given ample notice before the Ipoh City Council increases assessment rates, said Ipoh City Watch (ICW) president Dr Richard Ng.

He said with enough publicity and awareness, the public would be able to plan their budget rather than be taken by surprise and be unprepared for the new rates.
