Contractors and local councils need to buck up, says MP

MIRI: The local council must carry out its monitoring duties strictly on vital public projects approved by the government for the benefit of the rakyat.

There are cases of prolonged delays in such important public projects like drainage construction, public housing schemes, road upgrading and others because the contractors assigned by the government authorities to carry out these tasks are sleeping on the job.
