THE Penang government will continue spreading awareness about local democracy even though it has failed in its effort to reinstate the local government elections.
State Local Government Committee chairman Chow Kon Yeow said the Federal Court’s decision last year that the state government had no jurisdiction to hold local government elections had put paid to Penang’s dream.
