O&G service firm plans to expand with proposed takeover

KUCHING: Dayang Enterprise Holdings Bhd’s proposal to take over associate firm Perdana Petroleum Bhd is to pave way for its expansion strategy and long-term goal of evolving into a market leader in the provision of integrated hook-up, construction and commissiong (HUCC) services in the oil and gas industry, according to executive deputy chairman Datuk Ling Suk Kiong.

Perdana Petroleum group currently owns and operates 17 offshore supply vessels (OSVs), of which nine are chartered for brownfield projects and eight for greenfield projects. It will take delivery of two new accommodation work barges, which are the latest generation of 500-man capacity and 300-tonne crane, this year.
