Council puts a stop to applications for liquor licence

SHAH Alam mayor Datuk Ahmad Zaharin Mohd Saad said at its full board meeting yesterday, the Shah Alam City Council had decided that it would not accept any more applications for liquor licences.

According to him, 110 business premises in the state capital had already been given liquor licences, which was why the local authority would not accept any new applications.
