LESSONS on filial piety, traditional Indian drums and sweet treat greeted participants of the “Harmony Street” walk in Brickfields on Saturday.

Weaving through back lanes and alleys along Jalan Berhala and Jalan Sultan Abdul Samad, participants including 1Malaysia Foundation trustee Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye, activist Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir, Asian Strategy and Leadership Institute’s (Asli) director Tan Sri Dr Ramon Navaratnam, and Star Media Group managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Wong Chun Wai and several NGOs, were taken to unassuming shrines, iconic places of worship and historical buildings in the township.
