WHEN the earthquake struck Nepal, Debendra Giri was left helpless as he wanted to be part of the rescue efforts in his homeland.
When he learnt that the severe 7.9 magnitude earthquake had also levelled his hometown of Gorkha, about 200km from the country’s capital of Kathmandu, his anxiety went up a few notches as he has family and kin living there.
