State govt gives RM363,700 to 33 non-Muslim organisations

The money represented the first phase of a RM6mil annual allocation by the state for non-Muslim organisations. Each organisation received amounts ranging from RM2,500 to RM50,000 each for refurbishment, religious education and organising events. 

The recipients include the Nalanda Buddhist Society, which focuses on providing free tuition for schoolchildren, Buddhism classes as well as assisting the underprivileged.
