Ipoh folk enjoy an evening of culture watching traditional Gujarati dances

Energetic: Dancers tossing pots to each other while performing the Shramhari dance which is performed only by women.

IT WAS a special night for the Indian community in Ipoh as some hundreds of them came to witness the traditional dance and music performances from Gujarat, a state in West India.

Known as the ‘Land of Festivals,’ the state’s spirit of musical fairs and festivals was expressed through the moves of 18 Aavishkar Academy of Performing Arts dancers.
