Slow sales for electronic gadgets

Almost empty: Business is slow at one of the telecommunications shops at the Angsana Mall in Ipoh.

SALES of telecommunication and electronic gadgets in and around Ipoh have slowed down drastically following the implementation of the goods and services tax (GST).

DCYT (M) Sdn Bhd owner Chong Yew Teik said sales were very slow as many had made their purchases, be it mobile phones or tablet PCs, prior to April 1.
