Young and brave: Ngoh, fully kitted out in protective equipment, carefully puts out a gasoline fire with a type-C (dry powder) extinguisher, with the guidance of a firefighter from the Penchala station.

HAVING a fire extinguisher at home means nothing if no one in the household knows how to use it properly in an emergency.

Residents of Section 4A in Petaling Jaya learnt this and more when they attended a fire-awareness and firefighting demonstration organised by the local Rukun Tetangga recently.
