MBPP plants 24 trees along busy stretch as part of green promotion

THE Penang Island City Council (MBPP) has stepped up its effort to promote a greener environment with 24 trees being planted along the 80m stretch in Jalan Dr Lim Chwee Leong, opposite Komtar Walk.

Mayor Datuk Patahiyah Ismail said the council’s green effort could be measured through its allocation of RM2.1mil this year for green purposes, such as green projects, tree planting and maintaining the trees on the island.
