Government urged to make better use of ex-servicemen

SIBU: The Malaysian Armed Forces Veteran Association, Sarawak, is appealing to the state government to appoint former servicemen as community leaders and as board members of government agencies.

Its president, Thomas Ling, said at its recent annual general meeting that as former army personnel were widely scattered throughtout the state, he wanted them to be appointed to these positions in their respective areas.
