KOTA KINABALU: City police have begun a crackdown against illegal taxi operators more popularly known as “kereta sapu” operating within the state capital.

Up to 25 private vehicles operating within the city centre has been confiscated by police as such operators created hardship for the public by taking over public carparks while waiting for their clients.
