Council uses concrete curtain to support houses next to storm drain

Making it safer: Council engineering workers and representatives from Kumpulan Daeng Niaga working to fasten the concrete canvas sheets to patch up the monsoon drain cracks running between Jalan SS4C/1 and Jalan SS4/21.

A CONCRETE canvas is being used as an interim solution to prevent further soil destabilisation at the back of the houses resting on a monsoon drain between Jalan SS4C/1 and Jalan SS4/21.

Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) Engineering Department personnel and city councillor Chan Kien Fatt observed how the foreign technology is being utilised to cover the cracks in the monsoon drain’s rubble wall during a site visit.
