Jalan Maxwell de-gazetted to make way for development

THE once busy Jalan Maxwell near the Sia Boey Market in George Town has been de-gazetted to make way for future development in the area.

During the Penang Municipal Council meeting, its Development Planning Committee alternate chairman Muhammad Bakhtiar Wan Chik said the road had been de-gazetted along with part of Lebuh Tek Soon located between Jalan Maxwell and Lebuh Carnarvon.
