Gated security system not well-received by Taman Desa Aman residents

Two different systems: Paying residents are issued with a security access card to open the boom gate while those who refuse to pay have to open it manually using a button located a distance from the security checkpoint.

THE implementation of a gated-and-guarded scheme at Taman Desa Aman in Cheras has led to resentment among some residents.

Pensioner Ron Chin Wan San, 51, who has been staying in the area for 25 years, claimed the new automated security checkpoint had divided the community.
