KOTA KINABALU: Seven fishing trawlers and two pump boats were detained by marine police for trawling using seine fishing nets without a permit during an operation in Pulau Tabanka waters in Sabah’s east coast on Wednesday.
State Marine Police commander Asst Comm Muhamad Madun said on Thursdaythat marine police patrol boats intercepted the nine boats during an operation from 10am to 11.55am and seized some 61kg of prawns from them.
