A pig farm in Batu Laut, Kuala Lumpur, was caught stealing treated water following a surprise raid by the National Water Services Commission (SPAN) and Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas).
SPAN and Syabas personnel discovered that the pig farmer was stealing treated water by using a 20mm underground pipe from the main source located at a ditch opposite his farm.
