THE Sungai Petani Municipal Council will work with the local Society for the Pre-vention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) and other groups to work out an acceptable system to curtail the stray dog population in the town.
Council public relations head Zubaidah Hanoom Mohamed Yusof said an alternative would be sought if the public were unhappy with the present method of catching strays.
