RESIDENTS believe that the jungle area near Dataran Perajurit 11 at Taman Kemuncak in Ipoh Garden East is the root cause for the spike in dengue cases over the past few months.

Former army personnel Mej (R) K. Govinda Raj, 58, said it was hard to know what truly lies further into the jungle as the area was fenced off and covered with dense undergrowth.
