SEVERAL hundreds of devotees from the Chew Jetty temple in Penang and surrounding temples took a walk of faith by carrying the statue of Jade Emperor and other deities to mark the birthday of the Jade Emperor.

Organised by the Chew Jetty, the procession, which covered about 3km, started off at the Chew Jetty and passed through the Xuan Mu Temple at Weld Quay, Malay Street, Beach Street, Chulia Street, then to the Goddess of Mercy Temple in Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling, China Street, Beach Street and Chulia Street, before returning to the jetty.
