Petaling Jaya council sets new hygiene and traffic measures for night market traders

Gridlock: Heavy traffic plagues Jalan SS2/45 during the Thursday night market at SS2 Chow Yang. The new lot placements are aimed at moving the traders currently placed on the road, into the main market areas to free up more space for traffic.

THE Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) will implement several measures to improve conditions at its night markets, beginning with the SS2 Chow Yang pasar malam.

Councillor Lee Suet Sen, whose area of responsibility covers SS2, said the revamp included painting new lines to mark the traders’ individual lots.
