Baldly protesting against proposed incinerator

Both Cheras and Serdang MPs Tan Kok Wai (standing second from left) and Ong Kian Ming (standing third from right), also helped out with shaving some of KTI members and public supporters scalps to protest against the construction of a 1,000-tonnes per day waste-to-energy incinerator in Kepong.

IT is not the most conventional anniversary marker, but Lam Choong Wah, 37 and wife Chay Jin Jim, 32, decided to shave their heads as part of a protest against the proposed Taman Beringin incinerator.

Both Lam and Chay, members of anti-incinerator group KL Tak Nak Insinerator (KTI), are part of a group of 15 KTI members and public supporters who went bald at the Sunday morning event at the Metropolitan Lake park in Kepong.
