A 0.81ha piece of land in Pekan Ampang, Ampang Jaya, said to have belonged to Kapitan Yap Ah Loy, has racked up RM1.3mil in unpaid assessment arrears for the past 21 years.
According to Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) president Abdul Hamid Abdul Hussain, the land is in dispute as there are multiple unresolved ownership claims by his descendants.
