SIBU: A terminally-ill woman in Kanowit, about one hour drive from here, is appealing to the Welfare Department to re-instate the monthly financial assistance which she had been receiving from 2010 until it was halted this year.
PKR Kanowit Division secretary George Chen told a press conference yesterday that the woman, 47, who wished to be identified with her surname, Chia only, said she was a beneficiary of the RM310 monthly assistance from 2010 from the department.
