THE chairman of a thaneer panthal (refreshment stall) to be set up at the Thaipusam festival in Penang hopes that more panthal operators will go green by serving sit-down meals on reusable plates instead of packing food in throwaway containers.
G. Subramaniam, who is the chairman of the Universiti Sains Malaysia thaneer panthal, saidthe panthal had been promoting the green concept for 10 years.
