Slain cop’s family thankful for yearly aid from fund

IT HAS been 33 years since Kons Woo Kim Beng was killed in the line of duty while serving the police Anti-Vice, Gambling and Secret Societies Divisions in Kuala Lumpur.

But the police force has not forgotten the contributions of the policeman who was shot dead by a secret society in 1982 and has been helping his wife Ng Siew Whar, 66, with financial assistance annually.
