Looks like they haven't aged at all. Lo, the power of makeup.
Vogue Japan revisits a 24-year-old Vogue UK cover for its anniversary issue.
Vogue Japan celebrates its 15th anniversary this year, and the fashion bible has enlisted some of the most iconic models of the 1990s to mark the occasion. Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Claudia Schiffer, Stephanie Seymour and Nadja Auermann are the “Perfect Icons” featured on the September cover of Vogue Japan.
An impressive roster, to say the least, but this isn't the first time Vogue has brought together some of the most famous supermodels of the late 20th century. In fact, the January 1990 issue of Vogue UK kicked off the decade with a similar cover.
Shot by Peter Lindbergh, the photo brought together five of the biggest faces in the fashion industry of the day: Campbell and Evangelista are in the shot, taken almost 25 years before they posed for Vogue Japan this month, along with Christy Turlington, Cindy Crawford and Tatjana Patitz.
However, the latest Japanese issue takes the concept a step further between the pages, with other photo series celebrating the anniversary. Among the models pictured are Saskia de Brauw, Carolyn Murphy, Eva Herzigova, Natasha Poly and Mariacarla Boscono. – AFP Relaxnews
