Paul Marciano of Guess with Tyra Banks, host of 'America’s Next Top Model', which now features men seeking to be the top model.
THIS season, the winner of America’s Next Top Model (ANTM) will get to model for a sizzling American brand.
Cycle 20 of ANTM, hosted by Tyra Banks, has returned with new prizes and new competition – men!
The first-ever “Guys and Girls” edition is now airing on StarWorld (Channel 711) every Wednesday at 9.40pm.
Eight men and eight women will live under one roof and battle it out to earn the title of “America’s Next Top Model.”
This cycle explores the similarities and differences that male and female models face in the pursuit of their careers, bringing on experts and celebrities to mentor and challenge them each week. Naturally, there will also be opportunities for rivalry, flirtation and romance.
The model hopefuls will compete for a career-launching package that includes new prize suppliers Next Model Management and Nylon Magazine. The winner will also appear in a national ad campaign with Guess, whose advertising campaigns have launched many modelling careers.
Besides Banks, the panel of judges includes public relations maven Kelly Cutrone and former boxer and international male supermodel Rob Evans.
In the spotlight
AFTER three seasons of asking “Have You Seen Pepe?”, it was Cara Delevingne who lit the fuse on the brand’s 40th anniversary celebrations by taking up the challenge in tracking down the mysterious Pepe.
The current “It” supermodel and face of Pepe Jeans London appears in the Autumn/Winter instalment of the new “Follow Pepe” campaign.
Delevingne tails Pepe around Portobello Road and Notting Hill in London, and in the process, strikes up a friendship with the campaign’s male face, George Alsford.
She is the latest in a long line of Pepe Jeans London campaign stars stretching back to the early 1990s. Hollywood stars such as Jason Priestly, Ashton Kutcher and Sienna Miller have each shared the Pepe spotlight with football celebrities Fernando Torres and Cristiano Ronaldo. They took their turn in front of the lens alongside some of the hottest supermodels of their time, including Bridget Hall, Laetitia Casta and Edie Campbell.
Equally impressive are the talents working behind the camera lens, like photographers Bruce Weber, Steven Klein, David Sims and Steven Meisel. Picking up the photographic baton this season is celebrated British photographer Josh Olins.
