Various looks come with Clé de Peau Beauté’s new products for Autumn/Winter 2014. Where make-up was concerned at the Rochas Fall 2014 show, the focus was on the eyes. Clé de Peau Beauté’s creative director of cosmetics Lucia Pieroni says her concept was "messy Sophia Loren on holiday" and she got that effect obviously. “We are doing lots of lashes – big lashes,” Pieroni said, and you better believe it.
All the models at the show had three sets of eye lashes methodically cut and glued in an overlapping pattern onto the upper and lower lash lines, then coated with Clé de Peau Beauté’s new-for-fall mascara. A shimmery champagne shadow across the lid and a taupe for shading from the New Eye Colour Quad #303 completed the 1960s doll-like look. Lips were given a nude hue.
The Vera Wang show went after a different effect. Models were made-up to look ethereal with luminous skin. Pieroni used the Luminising Face Enhancer in shades of pastel and "delicate pink" to bring radiance and a notable glow to the cheeks, nose and inner temple. “She’s a beacon of light,” Pieroni said during the show.
Clé de Peau Beauté is a stand-out brand for that illumination effect – for skin that looks naturally perfect. The secret is in its Radiant Fluid Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF24, which is infused with an Illuminating Complex to give you that dewy glow. This cosmetics innovation is derived from natural silk and pearl to hydrate your skin and make it look stunning. The foundation also veils your skin and controls the powder particles on the skin’s surface, which gives it that layer of light.
Meanwhile, the Correcting Cream Veil and Sheer Fluid Veil create a radiant base that enhances your make-up. Both are delicately light and contain moisturising properties, to make your finished look last much longer than you'd expect.
Clé de Peau Beauté has a make-up brush specifically for the foundation to maximise its effects. The hairs on the brush have been technologically crafted to allow a uniformed application of the foundation. There's also a special brush for the concealers, available in shades of Almond and Mocha.
Lucia says she is inspired by that fresh, natural look where you can feel and see the beauty of the skin. Her tip for achieving that flawless look is to start with a small amount of foundation and work it around the face in small circular movements and fluid strokes. To finish off that ethereal look, complete your make-up with their Autumn/Winter 2014 collection of colours.
With the evolution of Clé de Peau Beauté’s base cosmetics, radiant skin is certainly within your reach and you can hold your head up high knowing that you are looking gorgeous and feeling fabulous.
