The exotic-looking actress captures the attention of the French brand.

Widely renowned for her role as Neytiri in sci-fi award-winning blockbuster Avatar, Zoe Saldana has built her reputation as a versatile and respected international actress by taking on eclectic roles with a passion.

She has distinguished herself with her singularly feminine look, luminescent gaze and tall athletic physique. Born from a Puerto Rican mother and Dominican father, the fierce beauty emanates a bold persona befitting of L’Oréal Paris’ new spokesperson.

“Zoe astonishes with her audacious style and feline beauty. Attached to her values, unafraid to speak her mind, and confident in her own skin, she embodies infallible force and asserted femininity, ” says Cyril Chapuy, L’Oréal Paris’ brand global president (RTE Fashion).

Saldana joins the ranks of fellow L’Oreal Paris spokespeople Julianne Moore, Lara Stone, Blake Lively, Jane Fonda and Freida Pinto.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of its ambition to touch the lives of others, to influence them, make a difference cosmetically and socially, through L’Oreal’s philanthropic endeavours,” says the 35-year-old Saldana. “Women need to be reassured that they are as important as their male counterparts. We need to know that we make a difference each and every day. We need to learn how to value ourselves.”

Her secret beauty tip?

“Always remove your make-up at night. No matter how exhausted you are. When you are resting so should your skin.”

Saldana will be reprising her role as Neytiri in the next instalment of the Avatar.
