Beauty tutorials inspired by Parisian runways

You don't have to be a professional makeup artist to get Chanel's runway looks.

You don't have to be a professional makeup artist to get Chanel's runway looks.

Here are ways to “steal” three runway looks straight from Paris fashion week.

Sixties eyes

At Saint Laurent the 1960s shift dresses were paired with black winged eyeliner and heavy mascara. This short Maybelline video shows you how to get the “modern mod” look. Start with taupe shadow on the lid, then line the lid with black liquid eyeliner in the desired shape. Finish off the eye with two coats of mascara.

Cornrow braids

At Sarah Burton’s Alexander McQueen show, the models wore wild cornrow hair. This video by blogger Liz Liz Live shows you how to part the hair to the desired width, section it off, and separate it into three strands to start braiding.

Colourful eyes

Chanel and Jean-Charles de Castelbajac both went for bright Crayola eyes on the runway. In this clip, beauty blogger Joanne Larby shows you how to create a similar colorful makeup look.

Skip the neon lips for the full runway effect, and go for a nude look on the face like the girls at Chanel. — AFP Relaxnews
