Bobbi Brown debuts eyewear range with Safilo.
The cosmetics legend has designed her first ever range of glasses.
MAKE-UP artist and beauty maven Bobbi Brown has announced the first details of her latest project, an eyewear line produced in collaboration with Italian luxury specs specialists Safilo.
Set to hit stores in February next year, Brown has designed a range of glasses and sunglasses designed to fit different face shapes, with the colour palette organised by skin tones.
“As a make-up artist, I have looked at women’s faces for over 20 years and believe that my beauty expertise will translate naturally into eyewear, identifying the best silhouettes and colors for a woman’s face shape, skin tone, and lifestyle. This is a new, innovative approach to interpreting eyewear,” explained Brown.
Options for optical frames include 13 styles for women and three pairs of unisex glasses which will retail from US$187 (RM590) to US$220 (RM694). Fourteen different styles of sunglasses (10 for women, and four unisex) will also be available. On top of this, there will be six pairs of magnified reading glasses (three in sunglasses form), which offer +1 to +2.50 magnification and will retail from US$68 to US$78 (RM215 to RM246).
The glasses will be sold in department stores and Solstice boutiques, and will be organised according to three key colour palettes: neutral, contrast, and nude/blush.
Safilo, which currently produces luxury eyewear for Gucci, Alexander McQueen, Fendi and Bottega Veneta among others, was excited to announce the collaboration with Bobbi Brown, “a make-up industry maverick who believes that beauty isn’t about looking perfect, but about celebrating a woman’s individuality,” according to CEO Roberto Vedovotto. – AFP Relaxnews
