ELIZABETH Arden has been crafting fragrances as part of the brand’s holistic approach to beauty since 1992. Past classics, like the Red Door, 5th Avenue and Green Tea, have enthralled women the world over for years.
Now, the brand is introducing a luxurious and updated rendition of a sensual floral composition. Named Untold, the scent also seeks to capture the different facets that make the modern woman intriguing.
Its top notes consist of black currant, bergamot, pink pepper and pear, which lead to heart notes of gardenia, peony and jasmine. The scent descends to a base of sandalwood, patchouli heart, musk and amber.
The beautiful bottle is an embodiment of the shifting, versatile nature of modernity
too as it’s made up of many
facets, and looks radiant and elegant.
Prices start from RM172. Available at Elizabeth Arden counters nationwide.
Keeping your skin fit
FROM running to stretching, or even yoga, exercise appears to be an obvious choice when it comes to taking care of your body. However, have you given some thought to what it takes to keep your face fit?
Decléor is introducing three “skin coaching” active ingredients for your skin. There is the L-proline complex that reorganises the dermal matrix and provides a lifting effect; iris essential oil to protect and stimulate the quality of elastic fibres in the skin; and hyaluronic acids which help plump up the support structure of the dermis.
They are contained in the brand’s new range of anti-ageing offerings named Prolagène Lift. This comprises a day cream, brightening eye cream, rejuvenating serum, peeling gel, wrinkle mask and youth concentrate.
You can try the products out in tandem with Decléor’s unique, anti-ageing facial massage. This do-it-yourself sequence of 13 exercises for the face (check out decleor.com) is said to further help in keeping skin firmer for longer.
Priced from RM198. Available at authorised Decléor outlets.
FASHIONISTAS are all abuzz over Marc Jacob’s happiest perfume called Honey. Joining existing scents Daisy, Dot and Lola, Honey is created in collaboration with perfume house Firmenich, and is described by the manufacturer as “the height of irresistible charm”.
Think sweet and floral, with notes of green pear, mandarin, honeysuckle, peach, vanilla and, of course, honey. There’s also the playful design. A reimagining of Jacobs’ Dot design, the bottle comes with striped bee-like butterflies in the place of Dot’s spotted ladybirds. It’s created for spontaneous and happy-go-lucky girls in mind; ones who buzz with positive energy and always see the bright side. What a lovely philosophy and fragrance to live by!
Available at all major department stores from RM167 onwards.
Juicy nights ahead
NOT all things Juicy are fashion. Iconic lifestyle brand Juicy Couture introduces Viva La Juicy Noir, a sensual olfactive interpretation of the US top-10 prestige fragrance, Viva La Juicy. The limited edition scent explores the seductive side of the original Viva La Juicy fragrance.
Bold, sensual and arresting, the fragrance is said to embody the Juicy Couture DNA, reflecting the bold side of the glamorous Viva La Juicy muse. A sultry take on the original, it is for the woman who is daring and leaves a lasting impression.
The scent opens with a hint of wild berries mixed with sparkling mandarin and succulent Mara strawberry, which reveals a mysterious heart of honeysuckle, gardenia petals and jasmine sambac. Delicious notes of amber, caramel and creamy vanilla combine with sandalwood to create an addictive finish.
A striking pink metallic bottle utilises a complex metallisation technique to create a liquid pink metal effect, capped by a faceted glass cap and black satin bow.
Shot by renowned photographers Inez and Vinoodh, the ad campaign features famed model Sasha Pivovarova.
Prices: RM361(100ml) and RM277(50ml).
