Soft sell approach by the luxury house markets new approach to beauty.
“Beauty isn’t sought, it’s revealed,” says the German actress in a new minute long clip for the Parisian luxury brand.
“Where does beauty begin?” asks Chanel in its latest campaign for Chanel Skincare starring Hollywood screen icon and fashionista Diane Kruger.
Featuring the killer combo of a classic car, classic rock soundtrack and crashing seaside waves (as also seen in Romain Gavras’s recent effort for Dior Homme, starring Robert Pattinson), the minute long film doesn’t go for the hard sell on the brand’s products.
Instead, according to Kruger, “beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself.” By way of backing up these sentiments, Chanel also launched a series of films featuring New York City based dermatologist and psychiatrist Dr Amy Wechsler, who explains some of the links between how we feel and how our skin looks: “Every day I see more connections between the mind and the skin.”
The doctor, who is one of only two US physicians specified in both dermatology and psychiatry, is adamant that “positive emotions are reflected on the surface.” Whether you choose to believe the science or not, you can enjoy the well-shot clip. – AFP Relaxnews
