One of the beauty looks for this fall.
Here’s the pick of some of the top autumn beauty looks that hit the Fall/Winter 2013-2014 runways earlier this year.
Big 70s curls
It was all about giant 1970s style blowouts in New York City. At both Marc by Marc Jacobs and Diane Von Furstenberg models wore Studio 54 style big volume hairdos; it’s a great way to add some extra glamour to your look as the evenings draw in.
Woven and braided hair
Valentino and Rodarte were just two of the shows which played with plaits. Whether you opt for a fat fishtail braid worn over one shoulder or more delicate French braids, woven tresses can create a sleek look for evening events or a practical solution for everyday hair. They also look great with this season’s trend for minimalist make-up looks.
Chloe, Dries Van Noten and Tommy Hilfiger all went for the illusion of barefaced beauty in their Fall-Winter shows. The key is to pare back the make-up look to the bare essentials, emphasizing a few natural features in a light palette.
Wet look hair
Don’t worry, this isn’t a repeat of the 80s trend for oily ringlets, but it’s still not the easiest sell for the everyday girl about town. In Milan, Marni and Missoni went for the trend, while at Prada the models looked like they’d just dashed inside after being caught in a rainstorm. Get the look by adding lashings of product to loosely slicked back wet hair.
At both the Lacoste and Derek Lam shows the models rocked strong metallic eyeshadow, while at Christian Dior Pat McGrath gave the girls drawn-out silver cat eyes paired with bright pink lipstick. – AFP Relaxnews
