The actor and singer is the brand’s new Malaysian ambassador.
YOU could say that Aiman Hakim Ridza represents the modern Malaysian man perfectly. He leads an active lifestyle and is career-driven, plus he’s forward about how he thinks grooming is important.
“I’m not afraid to admit that I love skincare products and pride myself on taking good care of my skin,” says the 25-year-old, who was appointed brand ambassador for Garnier Men.
The actor and singer says that representing Garnier Men is one of the biggest milestones in his life, and feels honoured to be chosen as a role model for Malaysian guys.
He reveals that he likes the easy-to-use TurboLight Oil Control Icy Scrub and Charcoal Black Foam from Garnier Men. He explains: “I prefer my skincare routine to be quick, simple and efficient.”
Aiman had a brief career in football before he entered the entertainment industry.
He came in fourth in the talent competition Mentor 5 in 2001. That was before he played Amir in Vanilla Coklat, his first romantic Malay drama series. After continuing to star in a few other television series and telemovies, he bagged the Most Popular Male New Artist award at the 26th Bintang Popular Berita Harian Awards in 2012.
Aiman has a single called Khalimah Janji with fellow singer Ernie Zakri and another called Cinta Buatmu, written by Adi 6ixth Sense.
A study conducted by L’Oreal Malaysia in 2012 showed that Malaysian men spend an average of less than 20 minutes when grooming themselves in a day. The study also reported that the men here groom to look and feel good. Fifty-six percent of men ranked confidence as their top motivation. A majority of those who use grooming products purchase it themselves as well.
