Need wider availability


THANKS for the article about e-readers. I too am an avid reader and recognise their potential advantages for holidays although I still prefer real books.

However, the article failed to highlight the lack of availability of e-books here in Malaysia. We cannot purchase Kindle books here nor Nook. To my knowledge none of the local bookstores, such as MPH, Popular and Kinokuniya, offer e-books. If you want to read a bestseller on an e-reader it is not available locally. So there is no point extolling the virtues of an e-reader until there is wider availability of a wide range of e-books.
