Malaysia’s premier health fair exhbition is set to return this April.
THE Star Health Fair returns this April, promising loads of activities promoting healthy living.
Organised in conjunction with the World Health Organization’s World Health Day, it is one of Malaysia’s largest health fairs, incorporating a wide range of health-promoting activities and products.
Moving into its third year in 2014, the exhibition caters to a growing number of health-conscious Malaysians and creates awareness on current health, fitness and lifestyle trends.
Last year, the exhibition attracted more than 40,000 visitors, and expectations are that this year will see an increase in this number.
The exhibition also provides an opportunity for health industry players to promote awareness of their products and services, as well as share their ideas and expertise on cultivating healthy living.
There will be many activities available, including health and lifestyle talks, health campaigns driven by NGOs, and interactive activities for all ages.
In essence, the exhibition takes a holistic approach to providing appropriate health-related information involving all the different stages in life.
This includes the early years for those planning to start a family, expecting couples and those with infants and young children. The aim is to help create awareness on childcare to facilitate the experience of parenthood.
There will also be activities that encourage younger adults to look after their health, such as healthy and balanced meals for a healthier life, looking after the body, and even family health and planning.
Of course, issues that are becoming more prevalent in modern society will be highlighted. So be prepared for tips on how to eat healthy and stay in shape, or how to get back into shape.
There will also be a deluge of information on the modern scourges of society, such as heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and so on.
Ageing issues will not be ignored, and the exhibition will contain elements that share how we can cope and better prepare for ageing.
