DEALING with facial paralysis when you are only nine is certainly not easy. Keisha Somasundram Petrus, 22, says: “When I had my first surgery when I was nine, my left side became partially paralysed because of the surgery.
“Back then, they couldn’t salvage the facial nerve. That was pretty hard for a kid.”
