The global pop-up restaurant featuring edible insects was held in a dozen countries yesterday. Here are some images from the event in Washington D.C, and a video from the one in Sydney.
The event in Washington D.C, sponsored by Ehrlich Pest Control, was held at the Occidental Restaurant. On offer were sweet and savoury edible insects, grasshopper burgers and much more. Ehrlich Pest Control donated US$5 to DC Central Kitchen for every person who ate something at the event. – Photos KAREN BLEIER/AFP
In Sydney, Rentokil Pestaurant served up chapulines (crickets), mealworms, cockroaches and creepy crawly candy for anyone game to try the unusual snacks. Watch the video for the day out at Wynyard Park. For more images, visit their Facebook page.
