We try out several diets. - freegreatpicture.com
We put some popular diets to the test.
PEOPLE go on diets for various reasons. Although losing weight is often the main objective, some people eat only certain foods or avoid others due to health reasons, allergies, or religious or ethical beliefs.
When Sara Ding discovered that she suffered from a form of blood poisoning, which affected her general well-being, she decided to try juicing. It was a revelation for her as she found that her health improved tremendously.
We decided to put our Star2 writers to the test with three other diets that are much talked about these days, and they chose the paleo, gluten-free and vegan diets for themselves.
We didn’t do any monitoring of our test subjects through any scientific means or even consult experts. Our aim was simply to see how Gayathri Nair, Jo Timbuong and Christine Cheah went about preparing or obtaining their food, whether the restrictions were easy to observe, and how each of them felt while being on the diets and afterwards.
