Shang Palace of Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur highlights the famous Hairy Crabs of the Orient, from now until November 7. This species of crab is a popular delicacy in Shanghainese cuisine and is prized for itssavoury and tender roe. Shang Palace’s Chinese executive chef Tan Kim Weng has designed an a la carte menu of six dishes and a six-course set menu. Some of the culinary highlights include Traditional Steamed Whole Hairy Crab, Braised Bird’s Nest with Hairy Crab Roe and Meat, Braised Egg White with Seafood and Crab Roe Sauce, Braised Asparagus topped with CrabRoe Sauce, Stewed Thin Noodles with Hairy Crab Meat and Preserved Vegetables and many more. The hairy crab promotion is available from noon-2.30pm (Mon-Sat), 10.30am-2.30pm (Sunday and public holiday) and dinner from 6.30pm-10.30pm (daily). For reservations,call 03-2074 3904.
