Wonders of Wagyu

Chalet at Hotel Equatorial Kuala Lumpur will excite your taste buds this July with our exquisite Wagyu beef promotion from now till July 31. Try our succulent premium cut of Wagyu beef that will be sliced at your table side. Wagyu is a breed of Japanese cow that has the genetics to produce butter knife tenderness and generous low fat marbling. These cows which are bred in Australia are fed for a minimum of 300 days on special Japanese formulation of grains. The high level of marbling helps to avoid moisture loss during cooking and Wagyu is recommended for slow and gentle cooking. The higher percentage of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids in Wagyu meat also offer benefits for human health. It is best eaten medium rare or rare. Chef de Cuisine Hafizzul Hashim has meticulously prepared a selection of dishes featuring mouth-watering Wagyu beef. The Wagyu beef is served with classic Idaho baked potatoes or hand cut chips, mushroom and watercress. Choose the sauce that suits you best whether it is bearnaise, wild mushroom jus, green pepper corn or blue cheese sauce, it is a delightful treat to savour. The promotion is priced at RM178++ per portion onwards. It is available for dinner that served from 6.30pm to 10.30pm. For reservations, call 03-2161 7777 ext 8333.
