World’s baddest supercomputers to cost RM1.43bil


Estimate to reach speeds of up to 150 petaflops, these supercomputers won't be playing Tetris.

The US Department of Energy (DOE) is spending US$425mil (RM1.43bil) to research extreme-scale computing and build two super-computers, which would be the world’s fastest, for research into basic science as well as nuclear weapons.
