Apparel for the whole family who want to dress up for the Festival of Lights.
THIS Deepavali, there is a wide selection of fashion wear available. Retailer Sonali Products is offering apparel that is trendy and unique, comfortable and affordable.
“For families wishing to wear something trendy to usher in the Festival of Lights, we have the linen line for different ages, available in varying sizes,” said Sonali Products CEO, Susma Suresh.
“Our fabric is not bought from wholesale markets but manufactured at our factory so that we have better control on the raw materials that go into making the linen fabric.
“Having our own manufacturing plant also helps us produce affordable clothes,” she explained.
One of the country’s leading Indian fashion houses, Sonali is showcasing hand-crafted and exclusively designed salwar kameez for women who want to own and wear an outfit that no one else has.
Its boutique collection has one-off, non-replicated designs that can be readily customised to fit the body contours and height of each customer.
The salwar kameez is designed stylishly with high collar and long sleeves. They can be worn not only for festivals such as Deepavali but also for special occasions such as weddings and are even suitable for the office or other casual events. The designs start from RM59.
Another unique offering from Sonali is its linen-based family collection. It is the only Indian fashion house that uses linen – a rich in appearance, chic and more durable fabric – to design clothes up to sizes of 5XL and for children from age two onwards.
The popular linen fabric, which is also appropriate for work, is manufactured, tailored and incorporated with a Malaysian flavour for final production at Sonali’s factory in Mumbai, India.
Items in the linen collection cost RM29 each.
Yet another distinctive feature that differentiates Sonali from other fashion houses is its wide range of sizes per design, per colour for its collections. It offers sizes from Small (38’’ chest size) to 9XL (64’’ chest size).
“We cater for women of all sizes. We want women to have the opportunity to wear fashionable clothes in attractive designs in the colours they want, no matter their size. Beautiful clothes that fit well help accentuate our figure and make us feel and look good – which is therapeutic for the mind, body and soul,” enthused Susma.
Sonali also has a catalogue for Deepavali, which offers a selection of salwar kameez, sarees, men and children’s wear, and identical clothes and colours for couples. More designs are available at www.sonali.com.my.
