NOVEMBER marks the introduction of Michael Kors’ Resort 2014 collection, in which the designer has picked a recent trip to Palm Springs, California as inspiration for the line.
From a black sleeveless bodysuit with metal lacing to a suntan giraffe paillette one-shoulder gown, Resort juxtaposes casual beach and urban day expressions with glamorous takes on cocktail and black tie awash in the simple colour palette of white, black, warm gold, pool blue and geranium pink.
Leopard prints, cutout mailouts, a leather shift dress interlaced with a strand of shiny gold chain intermingle with gemstone-embellished strappy sandals, rugged golden cuffs and lariats as well as structured clutches.
In perfect contrast is the Holiday 2014 line – a shimmering assemble of croc-print embossed shoulder bags, rock python print cowlnecks and silver foil skinny jeans inspired by the most glamorous cities across the globe.
Luxe fabrics, unexpected prints and over-the-top detailing make the cut for the year-end festive mood.
A stream of furry accents comes in the form of a curly lamb faux fur coat, and a studded rabbit fur carrier. A collection of graphic print blouses paired up with calfskin booties and denim snakeskin flats make for a stunning combination.
Designed for a good cause
