THEIR races would not have been more than a minute in total, but sprinters Usain Bolt and Oscar Pistorius made lasting impressions with their own unique and glorious achievements at the Olympics and Paralympics in London.
The Lightning Bolt proved to be a master showman on and off the track when he defended his 100m, 200m and 4x100m gold medals in fantastic fashion to underline his status as the fastest man in the world. And he captivated the hearts of his adoring fans with his wild celebrations, cool poses and great charisma. Deservingly, for his double treble, Bolt was named the recipient of the IAAF World Athlete of the Year for the fourth time in a row.
