Dear Thelma: Debating a change in career

Dear Thelma

I’m 45 and I want to change career from a freelance IT trainer to an accountant. Many friends have told me that it’s a waste of time to do this at my age. The reason for wanting the change is due to the fact that there are fewer training opportunities nowadays from corporate companies. I don’t have much capital to start a new business either. Therefore, the idea of a career change popped up in my mind. Do you see any problem here? What would you suggest?
